Web archiving for everyone

Archive and Library Web Collection

Develop your collection of Archived Sites

Using Hanzo products, libraries and archives benefit from instant web crawl and content archiving capability. It is fully supported and maintained to service level agreements - to obtain content, indexes and aggregate data of specific interest.

These services can scale to archiving several thousands to millions of objects per day. Hanzo run the crawlers and manage the parameters and filters, which specify depth and breadth of the crawl, the file types retrieved, and how many links to follow from the seeds.

Hanzo servers continually crawl the web as directed by you, archiving pages from your chosen sites. This encompasses all type of content including audiovisual material.

All archived pages, links and sites are stored exactly as they appeared on the web. Pictures, objects, links, videos and flash are all retained as they are, preserved as originally published. Content owners will be happy to know their content will be available for future readers for ever.

Hanzo stores all archived content and user metadata in standards-based web-archives, as outlined in the specifications of the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC). Hanzo are members of IIPC and has staff on the Technical Committee.

Web Archiving Technology

Web archiving has made significant progress during the last 5-7 years. Hanzo brings the best of this evolution with the first product that enables archiving of any type of web-published information, independent of the underlying publishing system and template technology used.

Hanzo's range of tools and services enable archivists to collect websites, wikis and blogs and preserve the content in a secure, searchable and browsable archive. By using the same standards as developed in the IIPC, these archived websites can be shared with other institutions, accessed using a range of open source tools, or can be accessed using Hanzo's own archive access tools.
