Mark Middleton, co-founder and CEO
Mark is a software & technology entrepreneur with an international blue-chip company background as well as over a decade contributing to or running startups. Prior to Hanzo, Mark recently led the British Library Web Archiving Programme, including establishing archiving operations and represented the Library internationally as a leading expert on web archiving. Mark has over 20 years experience in the software and computer industry, with over 10 years in technology and business leadership.
As CEO of Hanzo, he leads the commercial development of company, including expansion into US markets as well as contributing to product development. He is a member of the technical committee of the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) and a member of the program committee of the International Web Archiving Workshop (IWAW). Mark is also active in the development of E-Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
Mark Williamson, co-founder and CTO
Mark Williamson is a software engineer with 20 years of experience in building commercial software. He wrote one of the first programming editors for the Microsoft Windows operating system in the early 90's, developed AI & educational packages for the Electric Brain Company and a telemetry system for Williams Formula One. Lately he has managed development teams in SMEs to deliver state of the art Web portals and content management systems.
Until December 2005, Mark worked at the British Library managing web archiving relationships with external partners, implementing web crawlers, web archive access tools and building the Library's expertise in Web archiving.
As CTO of Hanzo, he leads the implementation of all Hanzo products and archiving infrastructures.
Kevin Gibson, Non-Executive Chairman
Kevin is an experienced senior executive, working in UK, Silicon Valley and Australia. Other interests include: a privately held commercial property company, Ebooks Corporation, an Australia-based world leader in digital book technology, where he is a leading shareholder and Chairman, Jiva Technology, building social web applications, and Business Fitness, a provider of systems and services to the Australian accounting industry.
